President Trump ordered a substantial reduction in US–South Korea joint military exercises, citing his ‘very good relationship’ with Kim Jong Un and penalizing Seoul for its non-participation in the US–Iran conflict. He also posted a photo with Kim, saying they ‘get along great.’ The timing is striking: US military officials had just warned that North Korea’s battlefield experience from its Ukraine deployments is growing rapidly.
